Meta removes Canadian news from its platforms

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and fledgling Twitter rival Threads, has made good on its promise to completely remove all Canadian news content from its social media platforms in response to the federal government’s Bill C-18, The Online News Act.
